- The school is situated in the
barony of Muskerry, twelve miles from Cork City, within the catchment areas of Coachford,
Inniscarra, Aherla, Donoughmore, Rylane, Dripseyand Ovens.
- It participates in a yearly student
exchange program which involves transition year students "swopping homes and
cultures" with their French counterparts.
- The Principal is Mr. Pat O'Connor and the
Vice Principal is Mr. Donal O'Brien.
- The school colours are red, white and
black.
- It plans to expand this year with the
addition of new classrooms and a new P.E. hall. The school has two Science labs, a Home
Economics lab, Computer network with internet access, a large playing field and an outdoor
basketball court.
- Jack Crowley, renowned scholar and poet,
recently retired from teaching, having spent many years at Coachford College.
